How community increases social cohesion?

The purpose of the project is to create a high-quality community to increase social cohesion. This project aims to achieve SDG 10 reducing inequality and encouraging people in this town to 'interlock' with each other. The architecture encourages 'outdoor indoor interaction' reducing inequality and increasing 'interlocking' engagement.

INTERLOCKING- DREAM LINKAGE

The site is enclosed by steel structures which contrasts with the surrounding landscape. The purpose of landscaping is to create soft surrounding ambiance. Visitors will be attracted by full-height glass, once they enter the site because it makes a strong contrast with steel structure too. The site also highlights the integration between the site and existing surroundings, a new bicycle path to interlock the site with avenue.

Indoor workshop area made by PLY wood screen, for dividing working space but encourage people collaboration.

The reception counter uses tenon joints which are a crucial part of ancient Chinese wooden craftsmanship. The purpose is to make the reception counter easy to install or uninstall so that making a lot of flexibility and possibilities for the reception area more than just doing reception.

My name is Yuan, currently bachelor interior architecture student. I am interested in how space functionality impacts daily life, so my ultimate goal is to customize space for different conditions and different clients. To achieve this goal I will move forward and learn something new from different perspectives.
